This BSR record changer is offered here as a serviced, drop in, ready to play rreplacement to fit in various vintage ’70s era record players and consoles that have a similar BSR changer. BSR changers were used by many different brands of electronics retailers and manufacturers. BUT…..if yours does not say BSR on it somewhere, then this unit is not recommended. If you are unsure if this will fit in your unit, please contact me. It is best if you can attach a couple of clear pictures of the top and bottom of your changer. This unit is guaranteed to be as described, but there are no refunds and no returns…. so make sure! Most BSR changers are very similar, but not identical. They (almost) all have the same dimensions, mounts, and connections. They measure 13-1/8″ x 11-1/4″. They may have different style hard plastic platters, different tonearms, features, etc. Some have 4 speeds, some have 3. Some have a cue lever, some don’t. PLEASE view all the photos for the features of this particular unit. For 110V power connections, there is a 4 pin terminal plug. Signal connections are made through standard female left & right RCA terminals. See the photos. Most have ceramic cartridges, but a few have magnetic cartridges. This one has a ceramic cartridge. Usually the changers with a magnetic cartridge have a larger, wider, headshell. But, there are always exceptions, so if you are unsure, it is best to contact me before your purchase. This unit is guaranteed to be as described, but there are no refunds and no returns…. so make sure! This unit has been serviced and restored to working condition. It does not look new. The main platter bearing was cleaned and repacked with fresh grease, the motor oiled, the rubber idler wheel was cleaned and treated with rubber rejuvenator to extend its life. The chassis was lubricated as needed for continued smooth operation. A new stylus has been installed. The platter on this one is hard plastic and it has a slight warp, which I have found to be common with the plastic platters. It doesn’t cause any problem with operation.
